Yesterday Google Chrome completed its first birthday. Since September 2, 2008 21 beta releases or updatings were launched, bugs corrected, new incorporate resources (as the visualization in full screen and self-fulfilling of forms), 50 Chrome experiences, and the navigator performance with JavaScript got better in 150%.

Still very far away from what we have nowadays, and still far away than will have, that browser was already shown capable to compete with the most important players that are at the market.

The evolution has been constant, in way to innovate and to get to bring what the others of best already brought. Plug-ins begin to appear. Synchronization of the favorites is possible. Versions for the different operative systems are a reality.

Everything indicates that the navigator of “great G” is on the way to a deserved prominence place in the market of browsers, still more with the versions for MAC and Linux, that are still in development but that can already be downloaded by developers or interested in testing them.

Chromium, the open-source project behind of Google Chrome, is available for Linux atmospheres, in alpha versions. As it presumes, the project is still in an initial plenty phase. However, it is already possible to appreciate the same speed that conquered the Internet users of the Windows version.

It is premature to affirm that someday Chrome can affect the position of the navigator of Bill Gates company, but certainty somebody should already exist worrying about the subject.
