Chrome Extension Google Chrome Extensions Set To Launch Next Week

The Google Chromium team has announced that the much awaited browser extensions for Google’s famed browser, Google Chrome are all set for an official launch next week. As of now, the Google chrome Extensions website is open only to the developers who can submit their extensions for Google Chrome, but the site will be up and running for the users by next week.

The launch of the browser extension for Google Chrome could coincide with the Add-on-Con 09, a conference dedicated to the development of add ons for browsers, of which Google is a primary sponsor. The Google Chrome extensions have long been overdue and if the extensions are what the users are looking for, then Google’s browser could witness an even greater amount of success than it already has.

The look of the extensions’ page is quite like the page of the Google Chrome themes website, as the extensions will organized in a list, with a download button right next to them and there are also speculations that, the page might even consist of information regarding the extensions and their features. The extensions for Google chrome will initially be available for the browser operating in Microsoft Windows OS, but the highly anticipated Google Chrome for MAC OS will unfortunately not be be embedded with the extensions feature.
