Verizon is a big name and cell phones by that company have usually been vouched for, for good or for bad. Now, they have teamed up with Google and the alliance of Verizon and Google will open new doors in the field of mobile telephony.

The idea is to leverage Verizon Wireless network and make the best of Android open platform. The idea of wireless networks seeing two giants shaking hands is not only exciting but also quite intimidating. Android is certainly poised to out beat many other mobile OS especially Windows mobile. Verizon on the other hand may be seeking to join hands with the new monarch of internet.

Though it is unclear how this alliance will affect the end users, we have already seen many Android phones that lean towards Verizon. Nevertheless, it is something to look forward to, and something to analyze and speculate, especially in a volatile business atmosphere. So let us hope that this new alliance between Google and Verizon brings out something good!
