Google can be negotiating the acquisition of the service of messages Twitter, according to a post in the site TechCrunch. Michael Arrington‘s article published in TechCrunch affirms that the two companies are considering the possibility of they develop together a mechanism of online search in real time.

Google would pay the value collected by Twitter in money, in actions or with both assets.

Arrington was the first to publish the purchase of the site of videos sharing website YouTube for Google in 2006 and, according to him, the negotiations with Twitter are in an “advanced stage”.

The Twitter, because it is very fast transmits information instantly. From the moment that somebody publishes something on your blog or in a company‘s website and then put the link on Twitter, approximately 30% of its visitors will access the link posted in there. To prove this, simply access Google Analytics and see from which sites came their visits. That is a very important tool so much for companies, as for blogs.

It is exactly for that that Google is interested in Twitter, because it is a perfect tool for publicity that can shorten the distances between company and consumer. Something that definitely adds value to online searches.

A spokesperson of Google in London said that the company won’t comment on speculations of the press.
