Google Nexus One Now More Affordable For New & Current T-Mobile Consumers With $100 Refund

The latest smart phone that has the consumers scrambling to take out their credit cards, Google Nexus One has now reportedly become more affordable for the users as Google Inc. has lowered the price of the device by $100, bringing the cost of the Nexus One to $279. This step has come in the wake of a series of complaints and grievances from current and potential Nexus One consumers in regards to the exorbitant $379 that was being charged from T-Mobile subscribers and the new customers who were willing to get into a 2 year contract with the wireless carrier for the Nexus One.

All those Nexus One customers who have already purchased the device for its launch price of $379 will now be eligible for a refund of $100 via Google Checkout and will get their money back in 14 business days. Google will begin the intimation process from tomorrow and the new customer who are willing to get into a contract with T-Mobile will now be able to get the device for just $180. However, the unlocked version of the Nexus One still remains the same and carries the price tag of $530.

At the Nexus One help forum, Ethan, PI, a Google employe has also confirmed Google’s latest stance on the pricing of the device and said,

“Also, as you’ve probably seen elsewhere, we’ve listened to everyone’s feedback and concerns and are working to expand the group of customers that qualify for upgrade pricing on the Nexus One. Please stay tuned for more information.”
