The Internet search industry behemoth, Google Inc. it seems has finally decided to reach out to the users more personally and provide its legendary services to the users by creating new opportunities in the televisions sector. This revolutionary concept will be delivered to the users with the help of especially developed televisions and set top boxes, that would employ Google Android mobile operating system and Google is said to be in intense talks with some of the biggest names in consumers electronic and computer technology, such as, Sony Corporation and Intel Inc.
The main motive of this in-the works technology is to integrate the power and usability of the Internet into one of the most cherished entertainment outlets, television, that would in theory, provide the users the opportunity to use online social networking services as well, as watch their favorite soap operas, all on a single platform. Google is planning to let the software developers take a crack at the Google TV service and hopes to widen the spectrum of online services, currently available on televisions.
This all new effort from the search giant and Sony Corporation is being viewed as a partnership that would in turn benefit both the companies. Google, who has so far not been able to tap into the vast potentials of providing online services on televisions will, then be able to reach out to a massive amount of users. Sony on the other hand, could see rise in sales and profits and could in fact regain its somewhat slipping hold in the international markets.
