Google Optimizes Google AdWords For Apple iPad

Google AdWord that has long been known to be Google’s primary source of revenue and a major platform for advertisers to get massive online exposure, has now been quickly optimized by Google Inc. for rave of the year, the tablet device from Apple Inc., Apple iPad. This move suggests Google’s mindset of providing its advertisers the freedom of capitalizing on iPad’s popularity and at the same time retain its presence amid the newly launch Apple iAd mobile advertising platform.

As per the new guidelines for Google AdWords on iPad, the tablet device has now been designated as a mobile device available for targeting within AdWords. However, those advertisers who have already placed advertisements on other mobile devices such as the Apple iPhone or Android smartphones will not be able to access the iPad platform. The advertisers have even been given the freedom to edit the devices section in their campaign settings and can select iPad from AdWord’s “Advanced device and carrier options.”

The AdWord advertisers can also place direct links in the iPad advertisements for their applications’ download page that they have created for iPhone, iPad and Android devices. So far, the iPad by default comes with Google as its preferred search provider and therefore, introducing the AdWord campaigns to the iPad would prove quite beneficial for both Google and the advertisers.
