Google To Encompass Large Enterprises With Google Apps

After helping put various small and medium businesses with its expertise, Google has now decided to let its Google Apps reach out to the larger enterprises. Till this date, Google Apps have proven beneficial to almost 1.75 million businesses. Big enterprises such as Fairchild Semiconductor have already been using the Google Apps and have been able to expand their operations significantly. However, Google believes that there is a lot of room for improvement for the Google Apps before it is released to the big names in business.

Google has been working relentlessly to further simplify the transition for large enterprises to Google Apps that also includes offline access to Google services. In an effort to put to rest any doubts that such enterprises might have, Google has announced that, it has officially taken Gmail, Google Calendar, Google Docs and Google Talk out of the Beta phase, making these applications more reliable.

According to Google.

“We’re also launching a tool that will be particularly useful to administrative support staff to screen and send email on behalf of others – a feature called email delegation. And to help customers comply with regulations that may exist specific to their industry, we’re adding email retention so that IT administrators can set up policies to determine when email will be purged. Both retention and delegation are in testing with customers, and will start rolling out to all Premier edition domains over the next weeks.”

Google has focused all its attention on Google Apps for large enterprises and have assures such market giants that, all Google services are extremely reliable and safe to use. Google intends to enable such organizations to take benefit of the live replication of data off site locations, that would help the companies to recover their essential and critical records in the event of a disaster.
