The booming mobile phone market, that is comprised of both hardware and software, seemed to be too delicious for Google, as the makers of the popular Google Android mobile operating system has now decided to jump into the growing market and capture a big piece of the pie for itself.

Google is all set to introduce its very own branded Google Phone in the market, and that has made the consumers jump with joy and other mobile phone manufactures biting their nails. As per the latest details, the Google Phone will be the most sophisticated and the smartest handset among all current generation smart phones. The device is said to be powered with a processor, that leave behind the ever popular Apple iPhone 3GS. Furthermore, Google Phone is also believed to be introducing the latest version of Google Android, called Flan with the phone’s launch and it has been claimed that, the new OS will provide incredible 3D gaming, matching the performance of current handheld gaming consoles.

As per sources, Google Phone could well be manufactured by HTC, a Taiwanese mobile phone manufacturer and it will powered with a Qualcomm processor. The real bombshell has been the announcement of a dedicated Google phone service, that will bring the users under umbrella of Google Inc. and will provide them with unlimited free calls. Google is also reportedly planning to incorporate its recently launched Google Voice service, that enables user to make calls across the globe, without any charge and also merge their cell phones and landlines with their Google Voice account.

According to Ashok Kumar (Analyst, Northeast Securities),

“We’ve never had this situation, where a single vendor controls the entire stack, from the operating system right up to Google’s cloud services. It changes the competitive and bargaining dynamics like never before.”
