Apparently, gorillas attack you if you make a direct eye contact with them. Not so long ago, a woman was brutally attacked by an escaped gorilla at a zoo. The hapless victim couldn’t withstand the attack but to fall prey to the merciless animal. This definitely might have caused a concern and you wouldn’t want to make direct eye contact with any gorillas.
Following this attack, “Gorilla viewing glasses” were introduced as a tool of defense mechanism, which will help you prevent yourself from getting attacked by a gorilla for making a direct eye contact with it. Rotterdam zoo is currently giving away these cardboard glasses to its visitors so that no visitor is attacks by gorillas are prevented.
These glasses make you appear as though you are looking to another side while you are still looking directly at the gorilla. This way, the gorillas will not be able to gaze that you are making an eye contact with them. The glasses are being sponsored by a local health insurance company. This is a simple and a wise way of combating an unwanted attack by a gorilla.
