As February draws close, we try everything to show our loved one that we care (atleast on Valentine’s Day). Fancy gadgets, beer cases (without even being sure of the brand he likes), jewellery and gift coupons for massages in posh salons. Some ideas work. Some don’t.
Then, we are back to the simple gift that has been tried and tested for years and never fails to bring upon a smile on the recipient. Chocolates!
While browsing online for gourmet chocolate gifts, I found two nice ones at L.A.Burdick. Here is what the world-renowned brand says about their chocolates, “We don’t use extracts, concentrates or flavorings. Our complementing flavors come directly from their sources. We brew coffees and teas, cook fruits, squeeze and zest oranges and lemons. .. No two batches of the same recipe are exactly the same.”
Their “Love-in-a-cup” is a lovely gift with a delicate cup and saucer set. It also has a 4.5oz sample bag of their famous hot chocolate and a sampling of Burdick’s fine handcut bonbons at $ 26.
Also loved their signature chocolate mice and chocolate penguins, adopted from the chocolatiers of old Europe, who used leftover pieces to create whimsical figurines for children.
