Park lights have always been a bone of contention in the green landscape. But thanks to designer Marcel Kawka, our favourite haunt can now retain the green factor with the concept of solar powered LED park lights. Kawka’s idea does not only save energy but also stands as an apt eco-example with its recyclable components.
The lights comprise of laminated photovoltaic panels that are controlled by dusk sensors, which make sure the LEDs come into action only after sunset. Thus, energy wastage is controlled. And since the LEDs are propped above aluminium, the light weight promises easy installation.
Kawka provides an impressive variety in these lights like high post lights with two or more fittings, free standing small posts, fittings for building facades and hexagonal ground fittings. So, you know that parks will not be the only place fitted with these cool eco-lights which can work continuously for upto five years.
