Praise must be given when it is due even it if it is for your worst enemy and Greenpeace is humble enough to do that. You would think that Greenpeace could not possibly have anything to do with McDonald’s but recent steps taken by the ultimate junk food co of the world has made it a favourite for the eco organisation.

McDonald’s recently launched their very first HFC/HCFC-free restaurant, something they had been promising for quite a while now, and Greenpeace is extremely proud of this first big step. The restaurant which opened in Denmark runs on eco friendly refrigeration and, according to the Greenpeace website, Greenpeace wishes to “give credit where it is due” even though they haven’t been the biggest fans of the company.

Whether McDonald’s has started a trend in making eco friendly restaurants and if this would spill over to all their joints is certainly not known at the moment, but such friendly acknowledgements from Greenpeace has raised a lot of eyebrows. Hopefully for the environment and all those who wish to leave behind a green Earth, the step taken by McDonald’s is a bid to make peace with Greenpeace and would encourage other companies to do the same.
