Ever since the launch of Google’s very own smart Phone,m Google Nexus One, there have been one development after another and as the device was expected to revolutionize the mobile industry as well the Google Android platform, the users so far have been quite disappointed with the device, as it turned it to be just another smart phones.
One of the features that are missing from Google Nexus is the multi touch support for the device, that has in fact become a standard feature of just about every touch screen smart phone. However, a hacker that goes by the name of Cyanogen in the Android community, has finally managed to activate this feature in the Nexus. The hacker has released a new modified version of Google Android 2.1, with which the Nexus One is able to provide multi touch support in the device’s web browser. A primary reason for the absence of this feature in the official Google phone, could be the proprietary rights of Apple Inc. on the technology.
The newly found success in this field, even if it is applicable only in the web browser, Cyanogen has assured that he is currently working on the Android and he should be able to add this feature to other applications on the handset as well.
