Modern buildings across the world are generally very poorly equipped with safety features and most of them just do not seem to be equipped well enough to deal with an emergency. While few countries across of the world have set standards in this regard, there are many who really have some hazardous structures that leave for no escape in case of a fire accident. Halo Light not only illuminates the way to the escape in case of an accident, but by making a system like this compulsory, you force buildings and construction firms to actually build an escape mechanism!
Created by Foo Wei Zen and Chua Wenfong, the Halo Light concept is a series of lights installed in hallways leading to escape routes. In the event of an emergency they use LEDs to project a glowing, pulsing halo on the floor which clearly indicates which direction you need to head for safety. Despite all the fire in a burning inferno, most of the building can get really dark with very low visibility due to the choking smoke. When you are trying to crawl your way to escape, these intense lights could be your beacon of hope and safety indeed.
