Hermann Eske has designed a cool product called the sunLight. The gadget utilizes solar energy to store energy in the form of electrical energy. This stored energy could be used to recharge other gadgets and also to power flashlights and other small gadgets. This way, you would not only utilize something that is free like solar energy, but also would cut down on the over utilization of precious electrical energy.
The gadget is environmentally friendly and it is scalable. SunLight comes with 6 modules being embedded and it consists of an LED unit and 2 AAAA rechargeable batteries. You could adjust the brightness with the size of the solar cell film and mass producing this would reduce the cost.
In my opinion, this gadget must be mass produced as soon as possible as it would allow us to utilize solar energy. However, there could be problems of companies not finding this cool enough to be mass produced. The problem with concepts being not manufactured has been an unfortunate trend for a long time.

Cool idea but bright LEDs get hot. You need a heat sink.
