Hover-Q: World’s Tiniest Toy Hovercraft!

Japan-based designer Takara Tomy has created the teensy weensy personal hovercraft, the Hover-Q for the R/C toy lovers of the world. Hover-Q is the “world’s smallest IR control hovercraft” measuring just 11.5cm (4.52 inches) long. Available in colors of blue and orange, which operate off the A-band, black and red, which function off the B-band, these tiny toys work just like their larger counterparts. If you are planning to race with these, then you have to buy one from each band.

The Hover-Q runs on a built-in rechargeable lithium vehicle battery and the controller needs four AA batteries and costs about $50. The on-board fan forces air download bringing about positive air pressure that inflates the flexible skirt to lift it off the surface. After that, the directional vanes fitted at the rear are tenuously adjusted to shove the hovercraft.

This design of the RC personal hovercraft toy impressed me because it reminds me of remote controlled cars. Not just kids, the adults would also enjoy playing with them!
