Hyperactivity can be a particularly difficult situation for parents to deal with. It has been noticed in many cases that the children grow up in loving families with almost uneventful childhoods. Let us take the example of this boy “Tim” who was brought to the clinic when he was around 9 years old by his parents. The parents were worried that he does not attend classes and that his grades are failing.
At home he watched TV and was a friendly child but wouldn’t cooperate when it comes to studying. This had created a sort of behavioral problem which includes hyperactivity and low attention span. His sleep and appetite patterns are normal but he was not good at academics before showing up at the clinic and did not attend classes regularly.
He is friendly towards both his family members and others at school though mild fights at school are common. In such a case, the parents must be on guard not to confuse the child into thinking his behavior is abnormal, as that alone can trigger off an episode of hyperactivity. Love and affection can work wonders. Read more about Hyperactivity here.
