India: BJP Shows Off Communal Feathers Yet Again!

Jaswant Sinha India: BJP Shows Off Communal Feathers Yet Again!

BJP, the main oppostion party in India has finally stopped hiding its communal feathers and has openly acted against one of its own senior leaders Jaswant Singh for writing a book praising Pakistan’s founder Mohammed Ali Jinnah who was also one of the principal architects of bloody India-Pakistan Partition.

The fact that Jaswant Singh had blamed congress for the bloody partition was largely ignored by BJP who met to review its position after the defeat in national elections. So the first step taken to make a comeback in next elections is again a gross communal one. BJP is once again distancing itself from the large Muslim vote back and is not willing to learn relevant lessons from the defeat. It is now clear that they are hell-bent on toeing a RSS kind pro-Hindu, anti-Pakistan hard line. Amazingly, BJP still wants to turn a blind eye to the fact that secular line has always paid dividends to Congress and its allies.

This sudden expulsion of a senior leader like Jaswant Singh who has been Finance and External Affairs minister in BJP led governments in the past reveals the rifts within the organization. But the manner of expulsion over a phone-call is indeed very shocking.
