As the world of tablet computing exploded with the launch of the Apple iPad, the world’s most cherished tablet PC, India also finally decided to take a chunk of the tablet device market and has now officially introduced an all new tablet device, which is not only touch screen enabled, but will also be launched at an initial price of $35. However, one of the most interesting aspects of this experimental tablet device is that, it is also quite environmental friendly, as the device is said to capable of harnessing power from solar energy.

This $35 tablet device is being targeted at students specifically and the device will enable the users to conduct video conferences, compose and edit Word documents and surf the Internet, with its in built web browser. Even though, the device has no internal memory, yet there is an option of storing the required data on a memory card. As of now, the Indian government is targeting students and families with low income for the tablet and concerned agencies are also looking for hardware partners, who would be willing to mass produce this incredible Tablet PC, further which there are even of reducing the price to an astounding $10 a tablet.
