Indian Start Up Investor, Morpheus Raises Rs. 2 Crore For Investments

One of the foremost names in investments for start up companies in India, Morpheus Venture Partners has announced that, it has successfully raised a total of Rs. 2 crore as investment money to be given to various start up companies in the country, and the investment firm has now change its name to, The Morpheus. The start up incubator company, Morpheus is now planning to invest Rs. 5 lakh in each of the start ups, that have been selected for the new round of funding to begin from the end of the month of March. So far, Morpheus has already helped and funded more than 20 start up companies, that also include the current batch of 10 start ups.

According to Sameer Guglani (Co-Founder, The Morpheus),

“Based on our performance with these 20 companies, we have managed to raise the fund. The investors are mainly people who have a soft corner for startups in India.”

Mr. Guglani has been known in the financial circles of India for hi efforts in the raising of the online DVD rental company, Madhouse.in, that after achieving relative success, was later bought by Seventymm.com.

The Morpheus is known to operate on a 4-month Business Acceleration Programme (BAP), wherein, the company takes on the role of a ‘limited co-founder’ for the start up companies, thus providing these entities with assistance in product development and launch, team building and also gives expert advise in revenue achievement and customer relations.
