While it has become almost mandatory for us to have iPods and listen to music, the same can’t be said about eBook readers. Most people shy away from using eBook readers because they still prefer reading paperback editions. While his could be seen as resistance to change, Sony launched its eBook reader sometime ago which costs about 220 Pounds and the Kindle DX is more expensive.

While these gadgets are too technical, most people also find them difficult to use. In order to bring a lifestyle accessory similar to the iPod, Interead has launched the Cool-er which is an eBook reader but more stylish and chic tha the other readers available. It comes sans frills and is easy to use and is user friendly.

It may not appeal to geeks but would certainly appeal to normal people who are not well versed with technical details. Each Cool-er is expected cost around $189 which makes it cheaper too. It is thinner than an iPhone and looks similar to an iPod and weighs just 178 grams. It can easily fit inside a pocket and may soon become the ‘iPod’ for eBooks. It uses Wi-fi and hence there is no need for transferring from USB or memory card.
