The International Red Cross Red Crescent Movement’s new international campaign “Our World Your Move” is an innovative campaign highlighting all the burning problems of the world and calling for participatory action to bring about change.

The campaign developed by Saatchi & Saatchi Switzerland is highly creative. The website, ourworld-yourmove.org depicts earth as a puzzle and people are asked to drag puzzle pieces, meaning people are urged to make their move to save the earth from the perils it is facing and save the suffering humanity. A small animated commercial film “Simple Gestures” is also part of the campaign.

The year 2009 also happens to be 90th birth anniversary of founding of International Federation of Red Cross and Red Crescent Societies (IFRC) and 150th anniversary of the battle of Solferino during which a young Swiss businessman, Henry Dunant, assisted wounded soldiers by mobilizing civilians.

The best part of the campaign is the rich website. It shows the important problems faced by humanity and the earth today. There are many stories about the affected, suffering people and the volunteers who make right moves to help people in distress. Thus it does inspire people to make a humanitarian move!
