Magnetic levitation is a concept that has been in the making for a long time and in recent years has witnessed enormous success with the launch of a maglev public transport system in Shanghai, China, where a German built Transrapid is ferrying passengers almost 30 kilometers in just 7 minutes and 20 seconds. Now, the famous designer, Francisco Lupin has come up with an all new magnificent concept of a solar powered maglev train, that would not only be quite fast but will be environmental friendly as well.

This all new unique and highly creative concept by Mr. Lupin has been conceived for the YouRail Train Interior Design Contest organized by one of the biggest aircraft manufacturing companies, Bomabrdier, that will also be considering this particular design for its line of Eco4 energy saving trains. The all new solar powered maglev train will be consisting of solar panels, that would be mounted on top of the train and will be responsible for providing clean energy, that would not only power the train, but will also take care of the lighting and charging stations inside for passengers.

This all new train has been conceived as a public transportation vehicle, that would not run within a city and revolutionizes the public transportation system. This unique blend of solar power and magnetic levitation, could prove to be one of the most significant advances in clean and green transportation.
