Days before the premiere of “Iron Man 2″ in theaters in the United States, users of the site Pirate Bay already had many options for downloading from the sequence.
Since last week some copies of the film were available on the site – but pretty bad. Copies were screen recordings (screenners movie), accordind to users feedback. The version is of low quality, blurry images, sound instability camera and irregular. However, at least one of the comments received copies of “decent copy” by users, says the news Web site CNET.
Examples of this type have occurred with such films as “X-Men Origins: Wolverine” (which was released in DVD-quality download sites, but with unfinished scenes) and “Hulk” in 2009 and 2003, respectively. The FBI still investigates these federal crimes. Also according to CNET, the author’s copy of “Hulk,” Kerry Gonzalez, was sentenced to six months of home detention and a fine of $ 7000.
The impact of this practice increasingly common in ticket sales is unclear, but, being a crime or not, many of the seventh art lovers say that this type of irregular distribution before the premiere in movie theaters serves as a stimulus and propaganda for film, rather than harm it.
