Though controversial and scorned, incest is a regular feature of human lives across cultures and ages. The IT director of Barclays was sacked as he was convicted for three months on account of downloading hundreds of child pornography in his company laptop. Jonathan Wimpeney, 50 was handling the Western Europe in the IT delivery business of the bank.
The bank showed zero tolerance and reported to the police when the bank found out about Wimpeney’s interest in incest and child pornography. The laptop was sent for the repair to debug it from computer viruses. On rectifying the cause of the problem, it was found out that the IT director, a man who claimed a six figure salary had been a regular visitor of sites where children were raped, sexual acts between a mother and a young son, three year old girl being raped etc.
Although, Wimpeney defended himself saying that such perversion was only the result of his boredom while on tours. The judge ruled that it was because of people such as these who foster this destructive trade of child pornography. Wimpeney not only lost his job but resulted in his breakage of marriage.
