Since the acquisition of the prestigious Jaguar luxury car brand, by the Indian automobile behemoth, Tata Motors, the now parent company of Jaguar has been formulating plans to reclaim the position of Jaguar as a high end luxury and sports car manufacturer in the international market. The CEO of Tata Motors, Carl-Peter Forster has now officially confirmed the company’s plans to go ahead with the production of an all new F-Type roadster and it will be working on introducing a replacement for the famed Jaguar X-Type.

The Jaguar F-Type one completed is expected to give stark competition to the incredible Porsche Boxter and Tata Motors has also set their eyes on bringing in a competitor in the form of Jaguar X-Type, against the BMW 3 series. The X-Type has had a poor sales record, but the company CEO has stated that, for Jaguar to thrive in today’s highly competitive automobile world, the company would have to release a smaller sedan in the market. Jaguar is also formulating plans top introduce a long-wheelbase version of the XF for the Chinese market and target European markets with a wagon version of the company’s mid sized sedan.
