‘Why does Japan come across the weirdest of everyday problems?’ some of us wonder most of the time. But is it the other way round? Let’s rephrase, ‘Is Japan one of the very few countries which take up to solving the common issues?’. Boy, such a mix of words but it is so because we came across a piece of news we had never imagined of. Hear hear, for some unfathomable reason Japanese school-going kids find it embarrassing to poo at school.
As bizarre as it may sound, the truth remains intact. In fact, this issue has become a major concern with the educational bodies in the country. After all, the child’s health gets affected. Medical experts say that if kids hold their natural calls for many hours, the habit can prove to be harmful in the long run.
Some say that the kids behave so because they are teased by peers for pooing at school. So, once again, Japan has come to the rescue of its public. Word is that educational bodies have been issuing books with characters made of poo that have eyes and mouth too. The whole deal is just to remove the ‘embarrassing’ quotient from a natural process like sitting on the pot at school.
