Sarah Jessica Parker stepped onto the red carpet in Moscow for the premiere of her latest film donned in a flowing red gown and cape combo from Giambattista Valli. Fashion statement, or is she in touch with her surroundings? Both, in fact. Red is synonymous with Russia and this could very well be public relations magic to build public sentiment. The dramatic gown and cape combo is very stylish and fashionable for autumn. The form-fitting design subtly highlighted her cleavage, with the cape fixed around the neck to cover up her biceps, which are drawing criticism lately for being bulgy and too sinewy. Good move, however she made a crucial fashion faux pas as she forgot to remove the washing instructions from the inside of the cape.
The red carpet moment was part of a press tour of Moscow where she is promoting her latest film “I Don’t Know How She Does It”. She started her tour yesterday, 26 August, and was up for an early morning photo call on the roof of the Ritz Carlton dressed in a Prabal Gurung dress. Sarah has put on a glamorous show so far and this number wasn’t any different. She girlishly showed off her stunning figure in a black and white lace shift dress, featuring embroidered flowers around the bust and hem. And in true Carrie Bradshaw style, a visit to Moscow’s Manolo Blahnik boutique catered for smiles from ear to ear as the fashion icon tried on some shoes.
In the film “I Don’t Know How She Does It”, based on the novel by Allison Pearson, Sarah takes on the working-mom role of Kate Reddy. The comedy portrays the life of a finance executive who is the breadwinner for her husband and two children. It will premiere on 15 September and is scheduled for release in the US on 16 September.
