Don’t we just love to hear about fashion for a cause? This time around it is a group of famous jewelry designers like Frank Gehry, Sophie Buhai and so on who have decided to come together and auction ocean-inspired pieces to raise money to save the coral reefs across the world. Called ‘Too Precious to Wear’, this campaign will be auctioned from today till the end of April.
You can even view all the jewelry items on the official website, which also gives a lot of significant info on coral reef issues and tells you about the role that you can play to save them. Please note that most of the items here are made from recycled silver, gold, vintage jewelry and conflict-free diamonds.
Tiffany & Co Foundation is behind the endeavor with the support of the Kingfisher Foundation, the National Marine and Sanctuary Foundation and the Ocean Foundation. For the uninitiated, Tiffany & Co stopped using coral in its jewelry six years ago and is eager to share tips with other businesses and help them choose an alternate for coral.
