Jordan – The Next Eco Tourism Hotspot

If you were planning on your holiday to an exotic locale that is also eco friendly, you may perhaps consider Jordan. Jordan exactly isn’t on people’s eco tourism agenda because of its deserts and climate. However, the nation has beautiful waterfalls, canyons, and the Dead Sea along the border of Israel needs no introduction. Jordanian Mujib gorge is world famous and it is even the world’s lowest elevation natural reserve.

There were only 66,000 tourists who were part of eco touri9sm where as a total of 3.5 million people visited Jordan. Jordan is bracing against environmental deterioration but the country’s government has done exceptionally well considering the fact the region is so volatile. Jordan has deserts, rivers and a cool capital city Amman to offer. You could take camel rides in the desert or take a helicopter ride too.

However, if ecology is what interests you, Jordan surely has a lot to offer including natural reserves, beautiful waterfalls, exotic desert plants and animals and is a biological hotspot. Make sure you go to Jordan in winter as it can get awfully hot in summer.
