The world’s leading automobile manufacturers across the globe have now taken upon themselves a responsibility to save our planet and its ecosystem. As more and more wildlife species drift towards the brink of extinction and the climate changes across the planet become more drastic, one very vital field that can truly contribute to the reduction or even elimination or carbon emissions and toxic gases is the automobile industry. Numerous big hitters such as General Motors, Hyundai, Mercedes Benz etc. have been working hard to roll out more reliable eco-friendly vehicles, that have nearly zero effect on he environment, all the while retaining nearly all the luxuries of a conventional gasoline guzzling luxury sedan.
One such entity, Korean based KIA Motors has now announced its plans of introducing an all new electric powered concept car called, 2010 POP at the Paris Motor Show on September 30th, 2010. The POP is not a hybrid and the vehicle will be completely powered by electricity, thereby resulting in absolute zero emissions. KIA has kept the POP concept into the small car segment, as the vehicle is only three meters long, a perfect fit for the urban transportation scenario. The POP concept has been designed and developed to be a two seater car, with the option of third seat at the rear, that can be removed as per the requirements of the occupants.
