Kim Gu-Han has designed a strange looking electric car called the Helios. The car looks like it is a desert reptile waiting for its dinner to walk by its path. However, the frills are more than just for aesthetic purposes. The frills catch solar energy just like a lizard’s frills would, when it is sunning itself in the Nevadan desert.
The Helios looks pretty cool and if you are planning to get someone to look at you even at the cost of looking like a complete freak, you perhaps should contact Kim and ask for the Helios by name. However, like most concept cars, I have a feeling this shall remain a great concept too, and would never materialize.
Now that the oil price is increasing, we really need some green and energy saving cars like the Helios, which not only are clean green and economical but also do their fair share of contributing to the creation of energy by using the free solar energy. Perhaps people must send a petition to major automobile companies to launch solar powered cars that look and function well.
