Kodak’s Playtouch Camcorder and EasyShare M590 Devices Will Hit the Shelves in Fall

If photography is your thing, than Kodak’s Playtouch pocket camcorder and Easy Share M590 print and shoot devices might just sweep you off your feet. Given the range of DSLR and other digital cameras lying on retail shelves, Kodak seems have delivered something fresh and out-of-the-box.

The Playtouch device can shoot mage stabilized 1080p video in addition to stereo audio to SDHC cards. There is a 3-inch display that lets you edit video or extract a still. Like most of the gadgets today, this one too can be synced with PC for data transfer or TV through the HDMI jack. Other features include an external microphone jack and a Share button that lets to post stuff directly to Youtube or Facebook or via email.

The other newbie is EasyShare M590 with 5x optical zoom and with more or less the same set of features as its other sibling. The Playtouch pocket device is priced at $229.5 whereas the EasyShare M590 at $199.99. The difference in price explains the scaled down version of features in the latter model. Kodak plans to make these available sometime in fall this year.
