Home appliances are often made into such elegantly beautiful pieces that we are forced to view them with a background of a museum. Rarely do these pieces appear to belong in the setting of a well lived-in home.
KOZO Lamps, on the other hand, boast of the essence of a well-handled product. Almost antique in appearance, these lamps are made for rugged homes and enthral in being as imperfect as the humans who would use it. Handmade by Design2009 Studio, KOZO Lamps are designed from galvanized iron parts, standing on bases almost tap-like in appearance. The lamps can be used with light bulbs or halogen light bulbs. Made from parts from all around the world, the KOZO Lamps carry the signature of its origin. Each bulb has a metallic knob that appears to serve the purpose of dimming the light.
The KOZO Lamps are handmade and assembled at the Design2009 Studio and the parts are left with a slight rustiness at the edges, hinting at the recycled nature of the lamps. KOZO Lamps range from $169 to $229 and a limited amount of the lamps are available from Etsy this month.
