KTM with electric is serious: within two years we will see on the ski cross a motorcycle race to zero emissions.
The Austrian company has already developed a prototype electric vehicle full of “ready to race”, the intention is to test it for at least 24 months, then putting it into production. With ion batteries, lithium batteries in an hour, the bike runs for 40 minutes in terms of race, releasing a torque of 39 Nm.
The group motor and batteries weighs just 17kg, if we consider the removal of the tank and all the classic components of an engine explosion, the bike seems really agile and light. The price of the vehicle should be only slightly higher than that of a KTM enduro today.
