Going by the ad campaign, Land Rover seems to have set high aims for Defender. The pictures show wild horn goat, eagle, bear and even wild cat discovering more heights, aiming higher. Sure, this vehicle is for the mountains. But it is unlikely that it can perch or find small footings and drive straight uphill over the rocks to go beyond!!

The animal picture series are nice and cute. The eagle shot looks great but then eagles soar really high. Imagination can surely soar higher. Such ads can make brands look too ambitious. Of course no harm in aiming high!!!

Once again this one deviates from regular four wheeler ads. No picture of the actual Defender. No brand ambassadors behind the steering wheels negotiating mountainous terrains. These print ads do promise a ride to a life at higher altitude and difficult terrain.
Recession is giving tough time to car manufacturers. It is heartening to see Land Rover actually hoping to sell these high end vehicles to some adventurous souls. Would love to hop on and drive to higher altitudes!
