Parody usually has been limited to popular culture, which includes movies, music and art that have been recreated with a funny take about the originals. Most often these originals have had a defect or a fault which the witty and the sarcastic used to create a genre of humour which has almost become mainstream.

When talking about pop culture, we must also consider religion pop culture. Since religion is ingrained in the masses, it is only fair that it is parodied too! Landover Baptist is a fictional church that has everything including churches, cemeteries, money making schemes, and gross discrimination of the ‘Unsaved’.

This parody of Christianity was started by an Atheist who has been attacked and criticized by the people he meant to offend. the site is full of humorous representation of what the Christians and the evangelists have tried to do and continue to in the name of god and religion. Though such parodies are not limited to just Christianity, the Landover Baptist site is a cool one that is a must see. It would be interesting to see other fictional situations to be used as parodies against societal constructs.
