RoBe:Do Robotics have launched the third model to their cool series of netbook powered bots called the three. The Three comes with a modular chassis and a USB connected motor controller.
I am sure you would have a gala time checking out the robot and its intricate functioning as that is what it is supposed to do, entertain and engage people. The laptop or netbook would be slapped on the bot and it acts as its brain. C, C++, C#, Flash AS3, Java, .NET, Python, VBScript and Visual Basic are some of the languages that The Third understand and supports.
It also comes with a number o sensors and webcams through which you can bring the robot to life. It costs $439 and if you want any other features like the navigation array, you would have to pay extra. It is a little unclear how one can use these robots in daily and real life.
