Lenovo Marching Ahead Towards Smart Phones & Mobile Domain

One of the biggest names in computer hardware industry, Lenovo has revealed its business strategy that includes the company’s undivided attention on the much talked about LePhone handset, a smart phone that is powered by Google Android mobile operating system. Also, as the company announced its financial results, the Lenovo management has stated that, it in the second half of the year 2010, the company will also be focusing on the mobile devices spread across a wide spectrum of prices.

Lenovo’s renewed interest in the mobile devices arena is largely due to the re-acquisition of Lenovo Mobile, a the mobile division of the company from a the hands of private investors for $200 million, in November 2009.

The Chinese hardware behemoth has stated that, it is in talks with numerous Chinese companies in an effort to create interactive internet content for mobile devices. The financial quarter that ended on December 31st, 2009, gave the boost Lenovo ha been waiting for, as the company posted a total sales figure of $4.8 billion the last quarter, amounting to rise of 33% from the same time in year 2008. Along with the increased sales figures, Lenovo also posted a significantly risen net profit of $80 million.

For the year 2010, Lenovo has already of really hot launches, that includes the Skylight notebook and the most fascinating of all, the IdeaPad U1 Hybrid, that is combination of a high end laptop and a versatile tablet device, where the display screen of the U1 Hybrid detaches from its socket to provide the services of a tablet and can be inserted back to transform the machine into a laptop.
