LG Optimus Pad Tablet All Set For Pre-orders In Japan From March 15, 2011


Unveiled at the Consumer Electronics Show (CES 2011) and with most of the specifications, even the proposed name for the device being hidden, the all new LG OPtimus Pad, has now finally seen the light of day, as LG Electronics has announced that, the company will begin taking pre-orders for this incredible new tablet device from March 15th, 2011. Known to the rest of the world as, LG Slate, the all new LG Optimus Pad (named only for Japan) will be custom designed for Japanese consumers and the Optimus Pad will come with Japan specific feature including BeeTv, a wireless entertainment service, and 2Dfacto, a reading application for eBooks and comics.

When the LG Slate is launched for the rest of the global markets, BeeTv and 2Dfacto will be absent from its feature, but the configuration for both these models remain the same. The LG Optimus Pad is powered by a 1 GHz Nvidia Tegra 2 dual-core processor and will be running the tablet specific, Google Android 3.0 ‘Honeycomb’. This brand new tablet device will come with 8.9 inch widescreen display, providing an impressive 1280×768 resolution, along with a 5MP rear camera, that will enable the consumers to conduct 3D recording, while enjoying their recordings in full HD 1080P video and device will also featuring HDMI output.
