Luxury Hotels In India Begin Charging for Goods that Otherwise Are Filched by Guests

There is a growing tendency in hotels of India wherein guests simply walk away with bathrobes, bed sheets, flower vases and just about anything that they can find in the room. The idea of causing embarrassment to the guests deters many luxury hotel owners to conduct thorough searches of guests before they check out.

Nevertheless, luxury hotels in cities like Bangalore, Delhi and Bombay have witnessed huge number of guests who seem to pick up just about anything they want, and walk away without giving a damn about the whole situation.

Thus, many luxury hotels in India have begun to allow guests to take what they want but will have to pay the price. The idea is that when they know they have to pay for something they would otherwise have stolen, guests may be encouraged to use the legal way instead, Boutique Hospitality Consultants reveals.

Now, we also know that most of the guests would still steal anyway, and thus the goods that are sold come with a heavy price of 40% and 50% of premium. Hotel officials also reveal that all the guests who walk away by stealing stuff from their rooms happen to be domestic guests, from India!
