You must have watched Scary Movie in which Brenda gets killed after speaking loudly over the phone when in a cinema hall. If you want to avoid that fate, you should either move out of the theatre or try and get one of these new method installed on your phone which recognizes lip movements and translates them into words for others.
That way, you never have to make yourself literally audible and the other person would know what you are talking about. It could even be used in Discotheques and other noisy places, and also to engage in secret conversations. It has been developed by Germany’s Karlsruhe Institute of Technology.
The method for mobile phones to convert silent mouth movements into speech could just be a great boon for those in the military as well, as one could carry out conversations with people elsewhere when in enemy land and yet not be heard or identified. There is no information about when this would be commercialized and be made available on cellphones but I am sure it would have a great impact on the market.
