Everyone knows what happens to the workaholic Type A personality types who get so stressed and their BP goes sky high, every time you look at one of them you feel like they have inflated so much with stress that they would burst right in front of your eyes. So, when you overwork your poor computer, what do you suppose happens to it?
It was revealed about a year ago that overworking your computer can increase its stress level so much that it could develop a tumour. No need to laugh now, it’s true, except for the fact that your computer would develop an inorganic tumour. Interactive media artist Mio I-zawa created his interpretation of what a computer tumour would probably look like and it looks real enough to be scary.
The Mechanical Tumour is made from a fleshy looking elastic material and is painted to look like some gross human anatomy. The tumour can be connected t the system and pulses silently as the system is in use but when the load on the computer is high it starts to inflate steadily. I-zawa has earlier made elastic cells and an external heart of the same type.
