The owner and founder of the newly launched media news website Mediaite, Dan Abrams has announced that with the phenomenal success of his website in terms of traffic and advertising, the company is all set to venture into other areas of interest and will be launching three new websites in early 2010. The success of the Mediaite Network can be understood by the fact that, the website that was launched in the month July this year is already being featured in the Top 40 websites listed by Technorati and is pretty close to achieving 1 million visitation for the month of December.

As per Dan Abrams, the company is planning to incorporate some of the most crucial factors that led to the success of Mediaite such as up-to-the-minute coverage and consumer-focused content into its business model and thus has decided to launch three new websites that will focus solely on style, geek culture, and sports. Furthermore, these new vertical will be able to take advantage of Mediaite’s incredible Power Grid, a list that updates its self on a daily basis and ranks media professionals on the basis of TV viewership and Twitter followers.

The first website will be named Styleite and will primarily focus on fashion and beauty and will be supported heavily by user generated content and e-commerce. The website will provide the user with up to date and latest happenings in the world of style and fashion along with street-style community.

The second website will be known as Geekosystem, a service that will span across the spectrum of events and categories that would cover the topics that would thrill geeks such as gadgets, video games, comic books and science fiction. The third website that, Mr. Abrams wishes to launch will be known as SportsGrid, that will be all about sports and will cover every aspects of it, from statistics, sporting events etc.
