During recent years, we witnessed the “Xing-ling” revolution in the technological environment. Today everyone “they” can display their “HiPhone” – copies of Chinese mobile phone, Apple‘s iPhone – with features that even the giant Apple hasn’t inserted in his original device, such as the reception of TV signal.
As might be expected, our Chinese colleagues quickly now decided to create their own Nexus One – Google‘s mobile phone – which in his version of “Xing-ling” was labeled ‘TEG W3000′ and curiously runs the same system of the “HiPhone” making it look like a Nexus One running iPhone OS.
The GSM device features:
• Wi-Fi
• 2 cameras (one front and one rear)
• FM Radio
• Analog TV
• Support for Java.
Although the unit does not have an AppStore, has interesting applications such as:
• Facebook
• Skype
• eBuddy
• Maps
• Opera Browser
This only demonstrates China‘s ability to clone successful products, regardless of origin or the degree of difficulty. The question now is when the Chinese will begin to develop their own products of high quality (the same happened to Japan for 3 decades ago).
When the Chinese really learn this, we will experience a true technological revolution.
