Microsoft Corporation has now announced that, it has readied service pack 1 (SP1) for two of its most successful operating systems, Windows 7 and Windows Server 2008 R2. However, as of now there is no confirmation in regards to the release date of the SP1 or ass to when Microsoft would release the Beta version of the SP1 for the users.
The SP1 slated for releaser for Windows 7 will as anticipated be carrying no new features or updates. Instead, this service pack will be comprised of minor updates, including patches and hotfixes that were previously scheduled to be delivered to the users via Windows Update platform. Windows Server 2008 R2 will also receive its very own SP1, around the same time as Windows 7 does and for the Server 2008 R2, Microsoft has in fact decided to send in two new features. The first being an updated Remote Desktop client designed to work with RemoteFX and the feature will be Dynamic Memory, that will allow the operators to adjust the virtual memory of the system.
So far, even after providing the details of SP1 for both operating systems, Microsoft has refused to comment on the availability or the release dates for the Service Pack. Still, taking into consideration, the time frame used by Microsoft for the introduction of SP1 for Windows Vista, it would be safe to say that, the service pack 1 for Windows 7 could see the light if day by the fourth quarter of this year.
