
Microsoft’s all new revamped search engine, Bing is all set to give a stiff competition to its arch rival Google, as it has entered into a landmark search deal with Facebook and Twitter. The deal between these three companies, will enable Bing to provide real-tile search results to the users, who are avid users of both Facebook and Twitter.
AS no now, Microsoft Bing has already launched the Twitter real tile search results in the Beta phase at Bing.com/twitter. As per the information released by Microsoft, the Facebook deal, that will incorporate publicly shared user information on Facebook in Bing search results is expected to begin in the coming days.
The search deal between Microsoft, Twitter and Facebook has not been a monetary one and amount cash has been given to any party. Sheryl Sandberg, chief operating officer of Facebook stated that, “no money changed hands in its deal with Microsoft.”
Speaking of real time search necessity for the Bing search engine, Yusuf Mehdi (Senior Vice President, Microsoft) said,
“You have to do more visual things, you have to do more sophisticated things, and you have to have better access to data.”
The Bing Twitter search results will provide the users with tweets and re-tweets on some of the most hot topic in currently running in Twitter.
