The latest upgrade in Microsoft’s long line server products, Microsoft Exchange Server 2007 is all geared to receive the much awaited Service Pack 3, that is expected to provide Exchange 2007 the compatibility to operate with Windows Server 2008 R2 and the service pack is said slated to be release in the year 2010. Also, taking into consideration the user feedback, Microsoft has further added into service pack 3, the ability of writing to the Active Directory from Exchange 2003 SP2.
Providing details on the Microsoft Exchange Server 2007, Kevin Allison who is the general manager of the Exchange customer experience stated that, with the overwhelming user feedback in regards to the Exchange server 2007, Microsoft was compelled to inculcate the compatibility between Exchange 2007 and Windows Server 2008 R2. Furthermore, Microsoft has also enhanced the support for orest and domain functional levels leading to Windows Server 2008 R2.
The Exchange Server 2007 service pack 3 will also witness another addition to the Supportability Matrix, that would give it the ability to be compatible with servers running .NET Framework 3.5 SP1, provided that the .NET Framework is upgraded from the 2.0 version.
