Microsoft has been in a race for superiority against the search giant Google, ever since the latter announced intentions to launch the Google Chrome OS for notebooks and desktop computers. It seems that both the companies have adopted role reversals. As Google is targeting offline segments of computing such as home computers and operating systems, Microsoft on the other hand it seems is giving its best shot for its online initiatives.

Microsoft Corporation has announced that it will be releasing Office 2010, an online version of its immensely popular MS Office suites. Along with the Office 2010, Microsoft will also be releasing SharePoint Server 2010 and Visio 2010. All these softwares will be available absolutely free of charge for all users and have been incorporated with synchronization capabilities on all three known platforms, phone, browser and desktop. The free online version of the Office 2010 will offer users with a host of feature and more importantly, users will be able to take complete advantage of MS Word, PowerPoint, Excel and OneNote via Office 2010.

Even though, all these softwares will have lesser features than their offline counterparts, yet they would prove to be immensely useful for users. Just like Google Docs, Office 2010 will enable users to create and apply basic editing feature to their documents, spreadsheets etc. Word 2010, will be implemented with an all new copy & paste boost feature, navigation capabilities and other great features that would truly enhance a user’s MS Office experience.
